Below are some commonly asked questions that might help you. If these don’t answer your questions, contact us.
Currently we’re offering our members free membership and no listing fees. All you have to pay is the small fee associated with Paypal transactions.
The person you have connected with, the ticket seller, has to be confident you have completed the challenge. SpareTicket.com.au is not involved in individual ticket transactions but we suggest you show video or photographic evidence if it is a physical challenge. We have a “challenge evidence form” sheet you can download from which you can use in the photo or video to help prove you’ve completed the challenge. See our terms and conditions for more information.
Only members can list and purchase tickets from SpareTicket.com.au. Members of the public can view all current ticket listings but will be unable to complete a purchase or listing transaction.
You will be able to change your password within the "My Account" section. There is a button available to edit your details, you may change your password to a new password from here.
Unfortunately, you are unable to change your username with SpareTicket.com.au. If you have forgotten your username, you may request that the information be sent to you via the Login screen.
Yes you can. You will need to access your account and choose “edit this listing” in your “current tickets for sale” section. You cannot change your mind once a purchaser has provided you with payment (or has selected to complete a challenge) for the ticket or tickets.
Only if the ticket seller has requested it. If you really don’t want to do the challenge but you really want the ticket, we would suggest you make an enquiry with the ticket seller to see if they are prepared to negotiate. The ticket selling transaction is made between the buyer and seller only and SpareTicket.com.au will not take part in the transaction. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
As tickets are listed by individual users of SpareTicket.com.au and not our website itself, you may purchase one ticket from one user at time. This is due to payment being transferred directly to this user via PayPal. If the user has more than one ticket to the event you have selected, you will have the opportunity to purchase more than one ticket during the checkout process. To purchase tickets from a different user, you must complete a separate transaction.
SpareTicket.com.au only allows members to transact via Paypal on the site, which means members will need to hold a Paypal account for which they are the registered owner. See www.paypal.com.au for more information on features and security.
If you have purchased tickets on SpareTicket.com.au, you may be unable to get a refund through the event ticket agency. It would be advisable to check the terms and conditions of the event ticket agency and contact the member who has sold you the ticket/s to see if you will be entitled to a refund or to attend a re-scheduled event.
Members are encouraged to check the terms and conditions of a ticket before listing or purchasing tickets on SpareTicket.com.au. Purchasers are encouraged to enquire from the ticket seller if there are any special conditions of the ticket prior to buying. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
When listing your tickets you can list up to five at a time, provided they are to the same event and have sequential seating. If you want to list tickets to multiple events, you will have to list each separately. That way it will be easier for people to search for tickets to each event – and make it easier for you to connect with other SpareTicket.com.au members.
You can list a ticket for the purchase price, plus any other costs encountered, e.g. postage and handling provided the ticket is not listed for more than 10% above the original purchase price. We do not want scalpers using SpareTicket.com.au. Our site is primarily and event connection hub, so we encourage our members to list prices at a discounted rate. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
